Held from 7–16 August 2026, the 14th TAYK–Eker Olympos Regatta brought sailing enthusiasts together with races across multiple classes, culminating in a spectacular finale on the Bosphorus.

Organized in collaboration with the Turkish Offshore Racing Club (TAYK), the Turkish Sailing Federation, and Eker Dairy Products, the TAYK–Eker Olympos Regatta brought the sailing community together in Istanbul for its 14th edition in 2026.

Held under the motto “Catch the Wind,” the event featured ten days of competition across various sailing classes in Kalamış and on the Bosphorus. The excitement on the water combined with a vibrant festival atmosphere, creating a memorable experience for sailors and sailing enthusiasts alike.

Ten Days of Sailing

The Regatta began with J/70 racing from 7–9 August off the coast of Kalamış. Following three days of high-tempo competition, the J/70 Match Race events took place on 11–12 August.

The Dinghy Class races, held from 11–13 August, brought young sailors together, with the class awards ceremony taking place on 13 August.

The programme continued with the offshore yacht race on 14 August and the buoy race on 15 August. The IOM (International One Metre) model yacht races, held on 15–16 August, added another dimension to the Regatta and offered spectators a different perspective on competitive sailing.

A Grand Finale on the Bosphorus

The ten-day event concluded with the Bosphorus Race on 16 August, bringing the Regatta to the heart of Istanbul.

Sailing against Istanbul’s iconic skyline, the fleet created a spectacular scene on the Bosphorus, offering an unforgettable finale for both competitors and spectators following the race from the shore.

First launched in 2013, the TAYK–Eker Olympos Regatta has continued to evolve over the years, incorporating a growing range of sailing classes and disciplines. In its 14th edition, the Regatta once again brought together competitive sailing, maritime culture, and the spirit of a sailing festival.
